Adrenal fatigue and the road to ruin

Wednesday, August 08, 2012 by: Craig Stellpflug

(NaturalNews) Are you tired all the time? Sleepy during the day but can’t sleep at night? So stressed out you can’t think straight? Crabby, depressed, sick all the time? Muscle weakness, chronic pain, dizziness? These are just a few of the classic symptoms of adrenal fatigue.

80 percent of people will suffer adrenal fatigue at some point in their lives, says Dr. James Wilson, author of the best-selling book Adrenal Fatigue: 21st Century Stress Syndrome.” When your adrenal glands have been “overworked,” they cannot do their job very well and any additional stress can strongly affect you, resulting in fatigue and other symptoms.

Adrenal glands function as your body’s “shock absorbers” by helping you to handle all forms of stress. But when you’re feeling stressed all the time, those glands become overworked and tired – a condition commonly called adrenal fatigue. When the adrenal glands fail to secrete enough cortisol, this causes energy dips during the day with spikes at night which disrupt sleep.

Adrenal Fatigue Solutions on the next NaturalNews Talk Hour

Thursday, May 05, 2011 by: Jonathan Landsman

(NaturalNews) Do you know someone that suffers from chronic fatigue or weight issues? The NaturalNews Talk Hour presents Adrenal Fatigue – How to Eliminate Stress and Weight Issues with our special guest Dr. Garry D’Brant. This program will teach you how to add years to your life and life to your years.

“Thanks for the great show, Jonathan! You are the best!” – Dr. David Klein

The Dangers of Stress

According to Dr. D’Brant, “Up until twenty years ago, scientists would acknowledge that physical stress could be harmful to the body. However, it is only within the last ten to fifteen years that scientists have begun to recognize and study the profound effects of psychological stress on health.”

In fact, research in the past fifteen years suggests that 43% of all adults suffer significant adverse effects from stress exposure and 75% to 90% of all visits to primary care physicians are related in some way to the negative effects due to stress. It is estimated that on an average workday, approximately one million workers are absent from their jobs due to stress-related complaints. Fortunately, there are natural solutions.

Ling Zhi helps people get off steroids, controls asthma, stops adrenal fatigue and much more

Thursday, February 10, 2011 by: Christopher Gussa

(NaturalNews) Ling Zhi (Ganoderma or Reishi mushroom) has been recorded as having the most extensive and effective healing powers in all of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is indicated for adrenal fatigue, coronary heart disease, bronchial asthma, insomnia, impotence, hay fever, dizziness, stomach ulcers, depression (by addressing the shen or spirit) and addresses debility from long-term illness.

Today, Reishi has various applications including lowering blood pressure, stimulating liver actions, blood cleansing, and becoming a super powerful immune booster while helping the body fight the effects of stress.

Perhaps the most amazing thing is that Ling Zhi is the only known source of a group of triterpenes known as ganoderic acids, which have a molecular structure almost identical to steroid hormones. This would explain why it is such a powerful adrenal fatigue and hypothyroid remedy.

Adrenal fatigue – Support your adrenal glands naturally

Monday, December 20, 2010 by: James Schreiber

(NaturalNews) Feeling sluggish and low on energy? Are you tired even though you have just got out of bed? If so, you may have adrenal fatigue – a little known condition that manifests itself through a number of seemingly unrelated symptoms such as persisting fatigue, fuzzy thinking, lack of sex drive, mood disorders and cravings for salt or sugar. While you may look normal with no obvious symptoms of acute disease, your unexplainable low energy levels leave you with little doubt that something has gone wrong. Fortunately, you don’t have to suffer needlessly because there is a lot you can do to restore and support your adrenal glands naturally.

Adrenal fatigue – who is at risk?

Adrenal fatigue is one of those illnesses the medical community knows little about. It can be frustrating to have persistent symptoms your health care provider can’t readily explain. If you suspect you may be suffering from adrenal fatigue, take a look at the following symptoms and see if they sound familiar to you:

How to combat stress from adrenal fatigue

How to combat stress from adrenal fatigue

By     Published September 10, 2012    FoxNews.com

Adrenal fatigue is a common condition affecting more than 66 percent of the world population in some form or another. This condition is often associated with prolonged or intense stress brought on by the tribulations of modern living or an event or illness that is mentally and physically taxing.

The dominating symptom is fatigue – a fatigue that cannot be relieved by prolonged rest or even sufficient amounts of sleep. Many individuals often manage what may be interpreted as a “normal” life with adrenal fatigue. However, a poorly functioning adrenal system leads to an imbalance of hormones that impact immune function, sleep, mood and energy levels.

In 1998, Dr. James Wilson noticed a distinct connection between increased stress levels and impaired function of the adrenal system.

Eighteen Overlooked Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue

This is another good article I came across. Below is a snippet. Please click on the link at the bottom to be taken to the full article. Thanks!

(NaturalNews) More and more alternative health practitioners are beginning to recognize how widespread adrenal fatigue (hypoadrenia) is in the general population. In mainstream medicine, doctors refuse to recognize there is a problem with the adrenal glands unless you meet the diagnostic criteria for Addison’s disease (extremely little adrenal function) or Cushing’s disease (hyper adrenal). These diseases together affect less than 2% of the population, but some experts believe that upwards of 80% of the population suffers from some level of adrenal insufficiency. Besides the usual symptoms of overwhelming fatigue and inability to handle stress, the symptoms listed below provide a more complete picture of adrenal fatigue and are often overlooked even by alternative practitioners.
