I grew up in Northern New York just on the outskirts of Watertown, New York, which is about 34 miles south of Canada. The saying around where I grew up was that people who weren’t from the area thought that Syracuse, NY was Northern New York and that anything above Syracuse didn’t exist. Well, I got news for you. There is life above Syracuse and Syracuse is considered Upstate New York not Northern.
Now with that cleared up I will tell you more about myself. I am a writer and enjoy writing articles on topics I feel strongly about, short stories, poem, lyrics and novels. Lately I have been thinking of writing stories for games as my husband is into computer programming. I think that would be cool but I still need to do some reading up about it.
I enjoy many kinds of music, though I refrain from heavy metal and anything dark. I am genearlly a happy person and look to the positive side of things as much as possible. I like TV shows like CSI, Survivor, Ghost Whisperer, Star Trek (the original series), MacGyver, Young Riders, Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Looney Toons, Tiny Toons, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Full House, Perfect Strangers, Due South, X Files, Who’s The Boss, etc. There are so many and most of them haven’t been on the air in years.
Some of my favorite movies are Twister, Titanic, Shakespeare in Love, It Could Happen to You, Sleepless in Seattle, The Santa Clause, The Lord of the Rings movies, XMen movies, etc.
I love to read. Some of the authors I have read are Anne Rice (my favorite author), R.L. Stine, Stephen King, Jean M. Auel, Margaret Mitchel, James Patterson, Richie Tankersley Cuisck among several others.
I love outdoor activities such as: horseback riding, fishing, canoing, hiking, walking, volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis, bad mitten, gardening.
Other interests are in history, weather, interior decorating and design, baking and cooking, desktop publishing, building websites and I’m sure there may be some stuff I’m forgetting.
I also have interests in health, particularly in the areas of environmental and food allergies, asthma and adrenal fatigue.
We are on the same quest. I enjoyed looking through your blog. I have had AF for about 7-8 years at least. I suspect I have had it for much longer, but that is when it began to manifest itself. I see you are writing a book. If I can help out, let me know. Good Luck!
We would like to link to your website if possible.

Thank you
I grew up in Upstate New York – the “real” Upstate – not Westchester County! lol!
I am enjoying your site and the holistic suggestions you offer. I have recently been diagnosed w/adrenal fatigue myself and would love to submit something for your book after I’ve done a bit more healing and research on what works for me and what doesn’t. Is there a deadline for submissions?
Terri,
There is no deadline for submissions. This is open ended until I have enough submission to create a book. Sadly, no one has wanted to step forward with their stories. Some have said they’d like to contribute but I haven’t seen anything so far. Best of luck to you and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
